The Rose Born from a Maiden’s Tears
🌹 The Rose Born from a Maiden’s Tears
🌹 In ancient times, when the lands of Thrace were still young and green, there lived a maiden whose beauty was sung in ballads and told in legends. Her eyes sparkled like two mountain springs, and her hair flowed down her shoulders like a dark river. Her heart belonged to a brave warrior who defended his village with sword and loyalty. The two swore to be together forever, but fate decided otherwise – in battle against invaders, the young warrior met his death.
🌹 The maiden sought solace for a long time, yet every evening she knelt at his grave, and bitter tears fell into the earth. They say the ground, soaked with her sorrow and pain, began to grow bushes with sharp thorns. At first they seemed harsh and even frightening – as if her grief itself had taken root. But one spring day, from these thorns burst forth a wondrous flower – its color like her lips, its tenderness like her love. That was the first rose.
🌹 Since then, people believe the rose is the flower of love, but also of suffering. Its beauty delights the eye, yet its thorns remind us that true devotion always comes with sacrifice. And so, to this very day, the rose remains a symbol of loyalty, longing, and the strength of the heart.
